Storing Essential Oils

by Cathy

You say on your website: "Only blended oils can be stored in cobalt blue bottles." I was planning on storing all my essential oils in blue.

Why do you say that?

Cobalt blue glass bottle
by: Liani Widjaja

Hi Cathy,

What I mean is the cobalt blue glass bottle. There are 2 reasons:

1. Amber, cobalt blue, or other colored glass will protect them from the light.

2. Glass is better than plastic bottle as they intend to interact with essential oils.

Please make sure you store it in a small glass vials or for 1 or 2 times use only, leaving the others sealed against oxidation.
