Psoriasis

Hello, My mother suffers really badly with psoriasis and has it all over her body including in her hair and on her private parts.

She also suffers from thyroid problems and is diabetic along with having dystonia. I really want to help her with the skin condition as she finds it very embarrassing and sometimes it is so bad that she will not leave the house.

What oils can I use to make up a blend for her to help with the flaky skin and the itching ?

Kind Regards
Tina

I just posted about Oil of Oregano on my blog. It's a must have! I also recommend looking into Lugol's Solution for the thyroid.

Here's my post:

Oil of Oregano is not your standard oregano used for cooking, that is the Origanum Marjoram. The oil of oregano comes from the Origanum Vulgare, and let me tell ya, this stuff is amazing!

Depending on what you're using it for, you can buy it in either liquid or capsule form. Almost every natural health or nutrition store has some, and I personally have used the products from North American Herb and Spice.

Either way, as long as you make sure it's not the oregano used in your Italian cooking and that the carvacrol concentration it is at least 70% you're good to go.

Oil of oregano has some pretty awesome health benefits and medicinal values. It's an antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal, and anti parasitic. It reduces pain and inflammation, and can be used to treat many ailments including (but certainly not limited to): sore throats, yeast, acne, eczema, psoriasis, bruises, warts, boils, athlete's foot, nail fungus, dandruff, such as ringworm.

It's best in treating skin infections, digestive problems, respiratory problems and congestion, strengthening your immune system, helping your joints and muscles to be more flexible, and can even be used as a mouthwash.

Oil of oregano is safe for pets too. Just a few drops in their food will help with most respiratory problems. My mom has used it on her bulldog with great results. It is also good for animals with all 3 types of mange.

You can use it as an organic cleaner, as well. Just mix the oil with alcohol and water into a spray bottle and you've got a great cleaner for darn near everything, even fruit and vegetables. When you're done cleaning, you can even spray it on yourself.

I hope this is helpful for you.
