Grapeseed oil

Hello!


You've got a great site - I like all the diffuser recipes.

Would you mind answering a question? I bought grapeseed oil at the grocery store and no matter how much essential oil I put in, there was no smell. Isn't this a carrier oil? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Hello,

Yes, grapeseed oil is a wonderful carrier for essential oils. The proper dilution is anywhere from 2-4%, so you need to add 6-12 drops of essential oil per tablespoon of carrier. Maybe yours was too dilute?

It is very possible that you did not have the right dilution as stated above.

OR you did not let it blend for several days.

Adding essential oils to any carrier whether it is an oil, lotion or shampoo you will need to let the blend sit for a few days to develop the scent.

So mix your essential oils in the correct dilution for the recipe you are using and then let it sit for a few days. Don't forget to roll and lightly shake the mixed blend to help it mix evenly.

This should help. If not then I'd trie adding your essential oils to another carrier oil
