Aromatherapy Facial mask is used to cleansing, nourishing, and revitalizing. They promote the elimination of waste material and stimulate local blood circulation.
Usually basic ingredients for aromatherapy mask are clay, oatmeal, fruit or vegetable oil, floral water and essential oils.
Clay masks are used in beauty therapy to draw out impurities. Clays have the ability to absorb toxins as they are eliminated from skin. In clay mask treatment, the heat under the layer of clay is increased by trapped body heat, causing pore-cleansing perspiration. Clays also re-mineralization skin tissues; minerals are a necessary component of skin health. Without mineral salts, skin loses moisture and becomes devitalized and sagging.
To draw out impurities, let the mask dry until it gets tight. Avoid leaving the mask on too long, because it can be drying to the skin.
To remove the mask, soak a small towel in tepid water, wrap around the face, and allow the mask to moisten. Then gently wipe off the mask.
