Aromatherapy disaster

I believe you are wanting positive stories concerning aromatherapy. However, I personally had one thing I tried not work very well for me. I found out that lavender was suppose to be calming and relaxing so I got some lavender incense to burn when I was still with my ex husband.

I did this because he was always stressed out and in a foul mood. So I was hoping this would calm him down. However, when the smell of the lavender filled the house it gave me a pounding headache so I had to go outside. Which in turn did nothing to help his mood because then he fussed over it being my idea and I was running outside.

Since then, I have discovered that I am extremely sensitive to strong smells so I have a hard time even finding cleaning products that I can use due to that sensitivity.

better idea

Hello Lynn,
I am also very sensitive to strong smells but i can wear pure essential oils...i find that many incense sticks and cones give me a pounding headache too,you would have done better to have made up an oil with good essential oils and massaged his neck and temples.Lavender being one very good one.But everyone has to find the one for them whats good for me may not be for you.
